Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common FELAR questions.

Is FELAR free? Yes. There is no monthly subscription. Sellers pay a 20% transaction fee per sale. Buyers pay a ₦500 service fee per order.

Do I need an account to buy? Yes. Sign in is required for cart and checkout. You can browse and preview without an account.

What can I sell? Tracks (beats), soundkits, sample packs, MIDI packs, presets, and services (mixing, mastering, etc.).

How do I get paid? Open Dashboard → Payouts. African countries use Flutterwave (bank or mobile money). Other countries use Whop. See the Payouts section for details.

What file formats can I upload? MP3 (required for beats), WAV (optional), stems ZIP (optional), cover art JPG/PNG/WebP/GIF.

Can I change my storefront URL? Yes, in Dashboard → Settings → Store username, as long as the new slug is available.

What license tiers exist? Default tiers: MP3 Lease, WAV Lease, Trackout, Exclusive. Producers can customize up to 4 templates.

Where are my purchases? Sign in on the producer's storefront and open Purchases in the account menu.

How do I delete my account? Dashboard → Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Type your store username to confirm.

Can artists sell on FELAR? Yes. Go to Start selling to convert an artist account to a producer account.

Why can't I check out from two producers? Carts cannot mix African and international producers. International producers must be checked out one at a time.

How long do payouts take? African payouts require admin approval after you request. [NEEDS PRODUCT CONFIRMATION: no fixed SLA published.] International sellers withdraw on their own schedule via Whop.
